The Liverpool former captain ( Steven Gerrard ) makes a return to the premier league as he will be taking charge of the youth team next season. The Liverpool icon was appointed after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Alex lnglethrope the club football academy director meetings and relishing on the reason that the youth team would give the former captain the best platform to develop himself as football manager.
Steven Gerrard who announced his retirement from football last year November has been working in a wide ranging position at the academy since the start of February and has naturally spirited in working with the under 18s side.
Steven Gerrard will be starting in that position at the beginning of next season. His is to be assisted by Tommy Culshaw, who has been promoted from coaching the under 15s side and jordan Milsom and is thrilled to succeed Neil Critchley, who becomes part of the under 23 coach mike Garrity’s backroom team.
